Nokia Lumia 1320, Lumia 525 launched in India


Nokia today has announced the launch of two new Lumia devices in India - the Nokia Lumia 1320 and Nokia Lumia 525.

The Nokia Lumia 1320 was earlier showcased at the Nokia World. It has a 6-inch display that allows a new third column of tiles on the home screen, which means people can see and do more.

The Nokia Lumia 1320 features 6-inch 720p display (with 245 ppi) and extends the Nokia Camera app to another price range. There is a range of imaging apps available on the Nokia Lumia 1320.

It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further by 64GB via microSD card. Nokia Lumia 1320 users will also get 7 GB of Skydrive storage. There is a 5 MP rear camera and a VGA secondary camera. It has a 3400 mAh battery.

The Nokia Lumia 1320 will be available in orange, yellow, white, and black color options from January 13, 2014 at a best buy price of Rs. 23, 999.

The Nokia Lumia 525 on the other hand is the variant of the Lumia 520. It is powered by the latest Nokia Lumia Black version of Windows Phone 8 operating system, this fun and colorful smartphone. Nokia Lumia 525 has a 4-inch super sensitive touchscreen and 1GB of RAM. Its predecessor had 512MB of RAM.

The Nokia Lumia 525 is available in gloss orange, white, yellow and matte black from January 07, 2014 at a best buy price of Rs. 10,399.

With the ability to run the latest apps like Instagram and Spartan Assault, this beautifully designed smartphone is a clear signal that Nokia delivers a better smartphone experience at every price point,' he added.

Commenting on whether Nokia will now discontinue its Lumia 520 now that the Lumia 525 has been offered, Viral Oza said that for now both the smartphone will be offered to the Indian consumers.

Nokia also announced today that all new Nokia Lumia devices purchased between January 7 and January 31 will get free 20 GB Skydrive storage for a year.
